Mission: The Clinical Education SIG advances and supports excellence in physical therapy/assistant clinical education in Colorado by fostering collaboration, mentorship, innovation, and evidence-based teaching practices that support the development of competent, compassionate, and lifelong learners.

Types of events/con-ed/content provided: 
Colorado APTA Clinical Education SIG, the most valuable role is to serve as a central resource, community of practice, and professional development hub for Clinical Instructors (CIs), Site Coordinators of Clinical Education (SCCEs/CCCEs), and academic-clinical education partners.  We will have virtual webinars 2-3 times per year with topics relevant to clinical educators like: 
  • Excellence in Clinical Education
  • National Topics in PT Clinical Education
  • CI development, Student success and Learner Support
  • Resources for Clinical Educators (CIs and SCCEs)
  • APTA and regulatory updates
  • Addressing the Needs of Students to promote their success
  • Professional Development Roadmap : New CI, SCCE, Experienced CI, and Expert Educator 
  • Offer a Community for Collaboration and Networking
