Our Goals

Practice

Short-Term Goals (STGs):

  1. Investigate Member Participation in Colorado Policy Decision-Making:
  2. Host a Practice-Focused Outreach


Long-Term Goals (LTGs):

  1. Recommend Payment-Related Legislation:
  2. Develop Strategic Alliances with Key Stakeholders:

Education

Short Term Goals:

  1. Ensure CE standards align with contemporary practice and are consistent across our platforms.
  2. Assess how PT/PTA programs are promoting APTA/APTA Colorado and identify opportunities for
    collaboration


Long Term Goals:

  1. Host a student conclave in alignment with Capitol Hill Day in 2026
  2. Continually identify educational needs of PTs/PTAs and coordinate opportunities provided by
    APTA CO (virtual, in-person, synchronous & asynchronous


Advocacy

Short Term Goals:

  1. Increase member engagement in advocacy activities
  2. Win tangible victories on payment and administrative burden


Long Term Goals:

  1. Design & implement campaigns to protect the profession and educate the public about PT value.
  2. Garner wins to reduce the administrative burden
  3. Enhance and diversify revenue streams for providers
  4. Increase member engagement in advocacy activities


Membership

Short Term Goals:

  1. Dissolve the membership committee and incorporate membership goals and value-added initiatives to spur membership


Long Term Goals:

  1. By 2027, APTA Colorado will enhance membership value as shown by increasing membership by
    4.77%.
