The Colorado Medical Society and the Colorado Athletic Trainers Association are actively opposing our Sports Physicals Bill, HB26-1231. They are flooding legislator offices with emails. We need you to step up and use your voice.
Our public hearing is scheduled for March 19th at the Colorado State Capitol. We want legislators to know we are in support BEFORE that date.
HB26-1231 authorizes licensed physical therapists to perform pre-participation physical examinations and provide written clearance for students participating in school athletic activities. It is a priority of APTA CO, and well within our scope of practice.
